6100 Problem

dvanacker

DID I SOUNDS SMRT??
OK....so here is the deal. My 6100 seized up from not cleaning regularly. Well I cleaned it very very well and now it runs but it is very slow and if I turn the speed down on the driver it starts to freeze.

I know it's not the prop because I tried it in my other tunze no problem and I have tried to clean the pump housing really well and can't see any calcium build up so I'm at a loss here??

Thanks for your help.

It may be that the pump needs to be replaced. Please send it into us for repair or replacement. We will be able to see what the warranty period on that pump is ( two years ) and should it need to be replaced we will contact you. Should you need it, the cost of a new motor block is $82.14. Please include a letter describing the problem with your contact information and return address.

You would need to get in touch with your Tunze dealer in Canada. You can reach them at XENIA NORTH AMERICA INC.

My Apologies I did not realize that you were in Canada when I replied to your post this morning. They should be able to get you taken care of.

How do I know if it's still under warranty. If it's not and am I going to end up buying a new pump motor and driver then what is the point of sending it in?

You can find the production date inside the driver box and on the back of the pump. If the last number is a five or less it's out of warranty.
