6100 Stream problem

I have two 6100s, the old ones I hear. One of them is making a noise. I figure out it is the rotor/prepeller, I switched them and the noise goes with it. Any idea what it could be. The noise is almost like a vibration/static noise or something, really hard to explain.

It could be some parts are worn, most likely though their is some calcium built up. I would follow the procedures in the manual for cleaning, do a full tear down but don't unscrew the prop. It isn't necessary and often people break the screw.

hahah, already took that apart, it has seemed to help, I will read over the manual again and see about cleaning it better. I notice the magnet was looking scratched up

I took it out again and clean it, this seems to help so I guess I will have to soak it for a while, what do you recommend using

Probably best to just send it in for repair. Include your return address and a way to contact you.

do you want all the pump or just the propeller, the pump is fine because I swapped propellers with my other one and it was as quite as ever

So, it works it just needs a new drive unit? Don't send it in for that. If it is a simple mechnical problem it should be easy to resolve- have you read the thread stickied at the top of this forum? Is the magnet cracked?

the magnet does not looked scratch, as in the PM I think I will just order a new propeller unit. I read the one about cleaning and that seemed to help for a few hours then it started again, I may soak it again for a few days

Please double check the key points I mention in the stickied thread- that the hole in the magnet is not obstructed and that the upper bearing is not stuck to the magnet. What you describe sounds exactly like this problem.
