6101 issue

Hi, I ordered four new 6101's in two batches earlier this year. I had issues with one in the first batch of two about 1.5 months ago and its motor was replaced under warranty.

This past weekend I began having the same issues with the other from the first batch. I was talking to the company I bought them from about some lighting and mentioned this and I was told to contact you guys again. He said he barely cleans his 1x per year... I've been cleaning mine every 2 months just to be safe as I thought this was my problem.

Basically all 4 are on a new 7095 and run at 30% power b/c I have lots of lps... the pump works for a few on/off cycles and then just stops pumping. I cleaned the pump earlier this week and it's just sitting dry right now... is there a specific "test" I should do b4 putting it back in the tank?

I <3 Tunze but this is starting to frustrate me.

Thanks!

I am sorry you have had this problem, send me the pump and we will likely have to replace the motor. On the first pumps of the 6101/6201 series it was possible for the driver to short because of proximity to the motor coil, it is not a universal problem but a higher percentage than should fail. In later pumps we added a spacer to remove the "human error" element from assembly. In the most recent ones we also put the driver in a silicon envelope before the resin is poured.
