6101 quit working

My 6101 quit working. I also have a 6100, but it is still working. I run both of them with the 7095 multicontroller.
My husband is trying to see what the problem is and he has cleaned the impellor shaft, bearing, etc. When the pump is plugged in, the shaft slightly moves in both directions, but does not turn. Any advice?

The motor is probably defective, if you send it to me we will replace it.
