6101s Not Working

Roger,

I've got two 6101s (not sure which motor block) that aren't working. The tank was at our old house and ran unmonitored for about a month during our move, so I fear the electronics were fried as they weren't pumping when I moved the tank. I've taken the impeller out and soaked it all in vinegar, but neither works still. I've swapped power supplies to rule that out as well. Is there anything else I can do? Is the next step just to send them to you for repair?

Eric

There is very little that can be repaired on 6101, the electronics are sealed inside the pump and the only replaceable items are the end connector and the drive unit (prop assembly) if these are OK, the only repair option is the 6101.015 kit which is a 6105 upgrade that is just a 6105 complete pump and adapter clamp, it would use your existing holder and power supply.

I will do that for you but we will discontinue that Jan 1, except on 6100's with usable spare parts. If you sent in your 6101 pump only it would be $159.86.

Sorry, I missed your post, if you are still here you are welcome to stop by but last week we were closed for maintenance and inventory and we are closed on weekends.

Bummer - I had already left town. What's the process for getting the upgrade? Do I ship the pump along with payment, or what?

Send it in and just include a note with an address and good day time number and I will call for CC info, if you prefer to pay by check, you can just include a check made out to Tunze USA.
