Hi
Got a 6105 from reef exotics. set it up and was moving it today and the tab that inserts into the magnet to hold the arm in place broke. I need a replacement magnet and holder. Please advise how I can get this. I have had the pump running for about 1-2 weeks. also since I replaced my older model tunze with the 6105 I have a micro bubble problem. I placed an older model back in my tank and the bubbles cleared significantly has this been a reported problem or do you think the pump I removed is defective somehow?

You don't need to replace your magnet, just the holder. Email Roger and he'll take care of you. I think the holder is $12 and shipping. Same happened to me. Accidently got a piece of my palm sandwiched between the magnet halves (ouch! :eek1: ), and pulled on the c clamp to pull away one magnet halves. Broke one of the clips. Easy fix.

thanks acroporoaddict. I will need to pull out the piece from the magnet..thank g-d for husbands!! where can I find Rogers email

I don't know of any logical cause for the microbubbles, the 6105 should be far less prone to microbubble production than the 6101 or 6100 because their is far less internal vacuum to degas water. However it is stronger and has a more open intake and could vortex from far deeper than the 6101 or 6100.

PM me about the clamp.

I had microbubbles issues with my 6105s at first, but a little work with a toothbrush cleaning the inlet area and the problem was solved.

thanks mflamb. I kept one in the tank and am using my old model on the other end and I have very little bubbles. I will try your suggestion
