Just put in my new 6105 on my 7095 controller(along with 2 6055's). The 6105 puts out a fairly loud hum that changes in tone with its power. Will this quiet over time(its only been running 2 days)? I can hear it from the bedroom when I'm trying to sleep :)

Thanks,
Aaron

Make sure you put the rubber bumpons on the magnet holders, they are critical to noise reduction, give it a week or so and see if it quiets down, most of them do, after a week you should notice it getting quieter, if it gets quieter the trend will continue and within a month it should be much quieter . If it does not, let me know and I will exchange it with a pretested pump.

Thanks Roger, Its quieted considerably!! I switched out the 24v jumper for the 15v as well since I didn't need near as much flow and that helped too.

Good to hear. We continue to work on the noise level, we are researching a lot of different materials at the moment, but just changing assembly techniques and tightening up the tolerance of parts has made a great improvement.

Hey Roger -

I want to replace two of my 6055's with two 6105's, Based on the above quote, am I better to wait a little longer? How soon till the "new and improved" are released?

The improvements are just drive unit changes, so they are retrofittable. The biggest change was already implemented a couple months ago and that was the change to 18V and a bigger prop, they spin slower but have the same flow. Like any of our products they will likely change perpetually as we find better ways and newer technology, most of our products see some upgrade every 6 months.
