Soaked by 6105 in vinegar to clean it. Was working fine, now it won"t start. Any way to take the motor apart to check the wiring inside? Any suggestions?

Thanks

face the same problem with other model

problem resolved when i push the impeller in and turn clockwise a few times

cheers

There is no way to check the wiring, likely problems are the power supply has died from water damage or just coincidence or the propeller and magnet are stuck to the metal shaft by calcium, when cleaning you need to pull the metal shaft out of the drive unit and make sure the drive unit spins and moves freely on the shaft.

Power supply was high and dry on other side of room. Impeller spins freely and has no calcium on it. Good news is Pump was purchased january 2009. Where do I find the serial number on this pump? Am i better off sending it to you and paying custom or dealing with the Canadian guy?

There is no serial number, only a date code, it is stamped on the side of the motor block under the front cover, basically on the side of the pentagon shaped piece in the middle of the motor block that holds the motor coil.

Where to send it will depend on where you bought it. We receive no compensation from the factory for repairs beyond the part so every distributor is responsible for only what they sell as the profit from the original sale is the only compensation for labor and any shipping. If you bought it from a dealer in Canada it needs to got to Xenia. If you bought it from a US dealer it needs to come to us, however we do not pay return shipping outside the US and there can be additional charges from the shipping company for customs and clearance.
