6155 Power supply

I believe this is the second time mine went bad. Surprised because this thing is a beast. I swapped with my 6105 power supply and the pump works so I'm sure it's the power supply. Says it's model#07226 and order #6300240. How much is a new power supply? Also I downsized so can I just purchase a 6105 power supply? Thanks.

The 6105 power supply is risky, it is 50W and this pump at full power needs 52W at full power. The 6300.240 power supply is 90W. I think the 6105.240 life span will be very short. In general if the power supply is failing and you are sure it is not wet, I would at least use a watt meter and verify the motor wattage is not over 52W, this will mean the pump is dirty or something is not right. I almost never see this large power supply fail, and when they do their is almost always a motor issue or water damage to the power supply. You can order any power supply on Tunze.com, but I would really suggest checking out the cause in more detail.

Thanks Roger for the reply. I only used the 6105 power supply for a few seconds to see if it would work. I think that would be ok. Definitely didn’t have any water on the 6300 power supply but the pump was dirty. I’ll check the pump with a volt meter. Thanks.
