Last night my Tunze quit working. The driver was really hot so I was looking at that for a while. Then I noticed the transformer was hot as well. I unplugged everything and noticed 2 large bulges forming in the transformer. Glad it didn't catch fire or explode... What can I do from this point? Could it have damaged the driver as well?

The driver is the root issue, likely despite the appearance, the power supply is fine. The power supply is 80W and a driver that has failed and has a short will draw as much as 400W. While we still have some old power supplies in stock and on clearance for $60, the drivers are no longer available. The best bet is to replace the entire pump or find a good used one for parts on eBay, etc.

7240.260 is an older version, it will work for older 6000 and 6100 but not for 6200 as it cannot handle the higher wattage.

I could not say without testing it and it would be best to replace the power supply if it is more than a small lump, they do generally still work after overheating, but the sealing/potting is compromised and they are a hazard if the swelling is severe.
