6200 Mounting brackets

I got two of the 6200's coming and before I go ahead and order the magnet holders I was wondering if someone could tell me how the standard brackets work? I will have an acrylic tank with a 3.5 rim around the top opening. If I clamp them to the rim so they are off the side of the tank is this going to create a problem? Is the brace going to be strong enough that it won't twist or swing when the pump turns on and off?

You would have to use bracket 3000.26 to add to the bracket you get and make an L bracket that goes under the brace and then down, it won't work if the pump is suspended away from a pane. The other option is to drill a hole near the edge so the rail can go straight down along the pane.

OK thanks I guess I'll order the magnets then. Being that it's 1/2" acrylic do you think I can get away with the 6080.50 magnet?

6200's should be used with the 6200.50, it is an exception because if you angle it sharply it has enough force to break the hold of the 6080.50
