6200 vs Wave box pump

is there any difference between the 6200 and the wave box pump other than the transformer? Thanks!

YES, wavebox pump is 6261 or 6260 (older model). The wavebox pump is hybrid between 6100 and 6200. The motor block, driver assembly is 6200 with 6100 transformer...

yes, so does that mean that the pump itself is the same as a 6200?

I understand that the transformer is different (much bigger and more powerful).

I there any issue with running a 6200 as a wave pump?

The pump itself is 6200.

No issue with running 6200 inside the wavebox. But for your tank size 63x30x25 it will be a bit too much. The only time i used 6200 pump inside a wavebox is for larger tank like 300g 96x30 or 72x36 etc...

yeah, I have 2 6200s in a center overflow wavebox with them pointed in opposing directions.

At just over 1/2 full (15" of water - 11" from bottom of box to water level) I can get 6" waves at the ends and 4" in the center (double wave).

As the tank gets full the pumps end up too far below the surface to do much at all. The box is currently 20" tall. I plan to cut it down to around 14" tall I think. I'm going to test it later tonight to find the ideal height as I've been waiting on my RO/DI filter to fill the tank.
