6201 not working

Hi Roger,

I have a 6201 that is not working. I noticed it yesterday and just pulled it out of the tank to try to clean it. It looks clean and the impeller assembly pulls out easily with no build-up on it. However, the motor feels warm to the touch and still does not run. Do you know what the issue could be? If I send this in for repair, how much do you think it will cost? Please let me know. Thank you for your help.

Most likely the motor coil has died and the only option will be an upgrade to the 6155 which would run $279.60. I am happy to take a look at it, but the motor is a sealed unit and not repairable, the only repairs that can be done are the end connector and impeller assembly.

Thank you Roger. I will go ahead and take the upgrade to the 6155 for $279.60. How would I go about this? Should I send in the old 6201 with a check for that amount? Please let me know. Also, would the 6155 be ok running with a 7091 controller?

I would just send the pump and power supply, you will need the power supply for the new pump, so we need to be sure it works. Include a note with your phone number, I will call you and we take credit cards.

This option is only for customers with dead pumps we cannot repair, you would likely come out ahead by selling your pumps and buying new 6155, the upgrade kits do not include magnet holders either. They are a pump only, without power supply or magnet holder.

Yes, though it is possible that the pricing may change up or down with exchange rate, etc.
