Hi Roger. Have you ever had a leaf stuck under the hood of your car at the air intake vent for the ac? My 6205 sounds like that - like there's a leaf in there.

It's all of a sudden like - not after a cleaning or moving or anything.

The blue spacers on the nagnet mount are all ok, as are silicone feet on the glass side. The pump cover is all the way on and the drive unit is clean. Prop doesn't look damaged.

Any clue what else to look for/try?

Thanks.

Hi Joel,

Possibilities that come to mind are that the disk may be upside down, the hard plastic side with the groove in it should face up toward the bottom of the drive magnet. Besides that, a small piece of debris caught between the shaft and magnet could be rubbing and making noise. It could also be the front cover is not on securely and crooked so the prop is rubbing against it.

Well it was silent forever so doubt it's that disk, and the cover is clearly on. I'll open it again ans check for debris. Thanks.
