6261 pump help

Recently purchased a pump and plug it and got no response. Email seller and he said it was working before he sold it to me. He's got my money and now im stuck with the broken pump. Not sure what is going on with the pump. The power supply light is on. When plugged no movement on motor whatsoever. The cord is warm though. Thanks for the help.
 
Do you have another Tunze controllable pump (6105, 6055) you could test the power supply with? Lighting up is not conclusive, it may not be putting out more than a few volts.
 
Yes, i have tried the pump using a different power supply. I was using the tunze 6101 power supply. Thanks again for the help
 
Are you in Edmonton in Canada or the US? If you are in the US I would handle any repairs, if you are in Canada, you would want to contact xeniainc.com. In all likelihood, if it is not the power supply or the prop assembly (drive unit 6200.700) the only "repair" will be an upgrade to the 6215 pump.
 
Im in canada. Previously i had a 6101 go on me. I tried calling and emailling xenia many times, but they would never reply. I understand you guys are in different district/region. It would be great if i could deal directly with you. Im willing to pay the extra cost to have superior service.

I don't have a problem with that, but I would thoroughly check the drive unit (see the stickied thread on alarms) and I would be sure about the power supply. These are the only things I can fix besides replacing the connector end on the pump if it had some water damage. If all these check out, the best would likely be to just order the new pump since it would at least save you the expense of shipping it in for a repair that cannot be done.
