65 gal. fish choice

Hi all, I have a 65 gal. SPS dominated tank and now that my coral beauty has started nipping on my SPS, hes out of there. The tank has a 30 gal. sump on it too. Currently the tank houses a bluestripe pipefish, a pair of scooter blennys and a small elongant psuedochromis. I am trying to decide on whether to go with 3 Bartlet anthias or some flasher wrasses. If I did a few different species of male flasher wrasses would they fight? The tank also has a coralife 125 skimmer. Recently I removed the coral beauty and two large chromis, when they were all in the tank I had no nitrite or phosphate problems. Please suggest which group of fish you would pick. Thanks for the help.

I also have a 65 gallon and was told that anthias and flasher wrasses were out ( well for the wrasses I asked about a pair, I dont know if a single would work )

Really? becuase ive seen plenty of tanks smaller than mine with anthias and flasher wrasses. Anyone else?

I would choose the flashers, probably one male and two to four females of a specific species. I'm not sure if it is enough room for multiple males to not fight. And, people have comfortably kept small harems of flashers in 30 gallons and up, so I see no reason for a 65 to be too small.

I've been doing a bit of poking around about Anthias in a 70g tank which is the same foot print as yours I think. Some say yes, others no. I'm personally going to give it a shot, but I have tried to change my stocking list to accommodate some of what they mentioned.

People have told me to avoid the sixline with anthias, that they may be aggressive towards flasher wrasses and chromis, and to make sure the tank has enough open areas for them to swim.

They told me the reason Anthias and Flashers fight is because they eat similar food.

Now I don't have any first hand experience here, but figured I'd chime in all the same. Maybe we'll both get some more information out of this.

One thing I'd like to know is why you are choosing bartletts? Do you just like the way they look? Availability? Or what? I'm personally planning a trio of lyretails I think. Still planning it all out.
