gotta love saltwater.....
What are the wise men's and women's sugestions for this ????
i want to attach rock and tonga branch to the back and sides of a 65 gal acrylic tank ???
the live rock would be no larger than a golf ball and as the tonga branch no longer that 3-5 inches and on the skinny side , nothing to round or heavy , and i also want to pretty much cover the back and sides, overflow with this ,,,,
this tank will be for Zoa's and polyps only ,,nothing else , i would like to get the back and sides in time covered with Zoa's and polyps ,,, and im up to some advice , from the tried and true !!!
i think i saw a thread on here awhile back on attaching rock to the walls and back of tanks ,,,,
Would it be almost better to buy 1/4 inch sheets lexan in 4 diffrent sections and drill and peg the acrylic then the rock to the acrylic ???? ,,, and place the 4 sections in the tank on the back in sections ???? if it was dont this way you could really work on the tank like a puzzle outside of the tank ,,, take my time and make sure everthing is secrue and not over time going to come loose or fall off the the back ,,,, the rock would need to cure when the walls are done and the tank full , but thats not big deal
The thing of it is ,,,how would you guys attach the acrylic sheets to the walls ???? so the wouldnt come loose or come off ,,,,,,
It sounds like alot of work ,,,but i dont care about that ,,,i have my current reef tank up and running just fine ,,,,, i would work on this one over the fall and winter for something to do ,then next spring set it up ,,, i dont want to steal lights , skimmers and pumps from my current tank , so i would need to get all diffrent stuff for this one ,,,,, and that i could get over the fall and from Santa ,,, i think with some time and planning this could be a REALLY AWESOME tank ,,,,,,,, just wated to see if anyone here has done this and their advice on how i was thinking of doing this,,,,
