I have had a reef tank for over 15 years. Last year, had to move tank to install new floor. In the process, decided to get rid of 15 year old Blue Face Angel and Maroon Clown. They had outgrown the tank.

After removing fish and old most of old corals, I decided to add many new frags. Ordered reef foundation pro test kit, added dosing pumps and got water parameters right for growing corals. Over the next several months, the frags took off and colored up. My interest in reef tanks was reignited.

Ordered custom 30x30x24 custom lifetime aquarium. Tank and stand arrived via 18 wheeler after 5 months.

Questions, its been a really long time since I have cycled a tank. I have added about 15 snails and 5 hermits to new tank as well as live rock from current tank. I feed a few pellets daily. I know the normal cycle takes @ 6 weeks, since I have established live rock, will this shorten cycle period? Thanks for suggestions and help.
