65 Stocking list. Do I have room for another fish or two?

I've had my 65 since September (actually longer, I moved it though)

20 gallon sump, lit with Gracillarius for nutrient export, CPR Bakpak, fairly high flow, 250 Watt DE 12000k 12/12. I drip Kalk. Water parameters are pretty stable and on point.

My goal is a mixed reef, so far I have pulsing Xenia and some zoos doing well.

Currently along with a 5" DSB and about 80lbs of liverock, some of which is over 7 years old with sponges and micro fauna.

I'm going by the book and stocking my livestock first, here is where I am:

Fighting Conch
Some red leg hermits,
Lots of blue legs.
Mixed snails, turbo, Astraea.
2 Serpent stars.
4 peppermint shrimp (had an anemone issue for years)
Sally Lightfoot
Maybe an emerald crab or two
Porcelain crab
Bicolor Blenny is over a year old
4 Blue Chromis (since July 2013)
Orchid Dottyback (2-3 months)
Diamond Goby (2 months)

I recently went through a cyano outbreak, bought a new ro/DI and dosed Chemiclean early in the month, GONE! No livestock loss.

I currently have a Bryopsis outbreak, added a Sea Hare today and will ermine once under control.

Today I also added a Coral Beauty. I know it may nip polyps and if it does, time to trap him and trade him off.

If these fish all continue to get along, do you guys think I could add a pair of those exotic clowns from ORA? Or maybe just one?

I'm not a n00b but I have been absent from the forums and taking interest in my tanks again.

None of the fish you currently have is all that large, so that is a plus. However, the numbers are getting up there.

With good husbandry, you could probably do it. It is always best to leave yourself a margin of safety. You are getting close to the limits.

Now, it is possible that your chromis will murder each other giving you room for a couple of clowns. How is that for being morbid?

Actually the Chromis shoal seems pretty stable. I started with four, later added two, both dead within 2 weeks. Later added 3 all dead in three weeks. They seem to want to be four. And I'm damn sure it's the same four I originally bought. I suspect they were all collected together.

I do not plan to even attempt the clowns until late spring/early summer.

I just answered my own question.....or....my Dottyback did. She killed the Coral Beauty and is now in prison.

I always thought orchid dottybacks were the most peaceful. I have one in my 65 gallon and she causes no issues. I would look out for the sally lightfoot crab though. They can be fish eaters. Who knows.
I would say you are fine with the clowns. :)

It might depend on how often we feed. I have a bare bones natural system so I tend to be on the edge of starving the tank unless acclimating new animals.
