I guess that it is now time to document this build, which started off back in about June 2012. We started off with a house remodel, when my wife (you better believe this) decided that the current tank which was 200 gallons plumbed to a sump system housed outside in a cabinet, that had a capacity of 300 gallons was ugly and needed to be upgraded. So I was allowed to order a new tank.Starphire glass on three sides 96x36x30 which calculates out to about 450 gallons.I re purposed the old acrylic tank into a sump system, that will now be housed in the outside cabinet, after I decided to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch. The tank sits on a tubular steel stand, which will be clad in some sort of cabinetry. The tank has a center overflow with three 2" drains and two 1" returns. The return pump is a Reeflo BlackFin rated at 6000 gph.Skimmer is a Precision Marine and system will be monitored by Apex controller.
