6500k for ZOA's?

I am thinking of adding dual 48 inch 6500k fixture to my tank.I currently have a supplemental cheapo 10k led strip,on now.Don't know the wattage ,maybe 50. It will sit on the rear of the tank where my rocks nearly touch the surface. I also have a lot of native ZOA's (coming back from the dead) that are at the top of the tank. Anyone have input on 6500k and ZOA's?

I wish I could pull up articles, but I did a lot of reading on lighting choices when determining what spectrum to use on my DIY LEDs, specifically to zoas. Short answer, zoas proliferate under blues more than they do whites.

They grow like crazy under 10K halides. Most zoas are collected from areas where 6.5K would be about the right temp at depth.

There is still a lot of blue in 10K and 6.5K spectrum, there just is also more yellow, green and red.

Give it a shot.

These ZOA's are Florida natives that are exposed above the waterline at low tide, my assumption is 4000 to 6500k is the closest to being a noon sun
Where would the blue factor in with shallow water ZOA's?
