I'm setting up a new 65G build and was curious if anyone had an opinion on the amount of lighting needed.
The tank is a 65G 36L x 18W x 24H. It will hold a mixed reef of SPS, LPS, etc.
I was looking at AI LED fixtures and having been drawn to the Vega for the customizations it offers keeping in mind future upgrades and livestock needs.
I've read the spread of the Vega is 24" x 24" but I'm unsure as to if 1 Vega would be enough for my needs. I've also read that 2 would probably be overkill and not offer different lighting conditions to support the varied light needs of the mixed reef.
Any insight/experience would be greatly appreciated.
