7091 controller - Min\Max times

Was wondering what the min\max times the controller will turn on\off the streams. I am looking at the setup but was curious to know the max it will leave the Stream off, then how long can the controller leave it on.

Their is no on and off, only fast and slow 30% power to 100% power as you set any range in between on two knobs. The pump time between these settings is 1-7 sec.

Any reason the stream does not shut off with the controller, instead just reducing power ? Not a big deal to me, but if I put it on a timer is that a problem with the Stream ?

Sounds like I will like the idea of reducing power instead of shutting off, but just want to check my options.

You can shut it off on a timer as long as you give at least an hour time interval. Be aware that a fish could enter while it is off. If you use two on a multicontroller their is an option for one off and one on. The main idea is to prevent wear of the unidirectional clutch mechanism, the electronics on the 6000 and 6100 prevent most of this but when the pumps turn off they get hot as heat rises from the copper coil and this increase in heat precipitates lime and this is another wear factor, the pumps are very cool but when off the heat does increase until the coil cools.
