7094 how does it drive the pump.

OK the electronics unit drives the pump motor via an oscilating wave and the speed of the pump can be controlled via the freq and power input but how does the 7094 inform the electronic controller of the pump what value to use?

Does it just supply a variable DC voltage to the pumps electronics, and if so what pins and what range?

I am asking as i have 4 streams on a 7094 in tank but i also have two 7240 spare and would like to add them onto an aquairium computer that has a dc voltage module that will supply a 0 to 10 volts.

this would allow a tidal mode simulation or a random current pattern from the two additional pumps. I understand i could also hook them up to the 7094 but would prefer a second control on the current in the tank.

do not want to play with the 7094 as its doing such a great job on the tank

If I told you I would have to kill you:) . Seriously, I am not priveleged with such information and I can only say that 8V is fed to the multicontroller which modifies the signal and returns it. Somethings are kept to such a level of secrecy that only the one engineer who designed it knows all the details, I am given only what I need to do repairs or to further a products design.
