7095-7096 Comparison

I am in the market to finally purchase some Tunzes for my 25*25*18 1" acrylic tank. My first concern is will 2 6055's be enough or too much? Are the magnets strong enough for the 1" acrylic? I am not sure why the tank builder used 1". I got it used from someone for a GREAT price so I could not pass up the deal.

What are the differences besides software access between the 7095 and 7096 controllers? Is there a comparison chart posted anywhere?

A pair of 6055's would be plenty of flow, but the magnets can only hold on up to 3/4" material. Do the overflows or any panel have 3/4"?

The 7095 is a stand alone controller, it costs more, it has the added feature of Interval 2 which idles one pump while pulsing the other. The 7096 only has Interval 1 at the moment which is one pump on one pump off. The 7096 has two features the 7095 does not, storm mode which sets up a daily to weekly storm surge that lasts a few minutes and wavebox mode, it can run a wavebox. Since the 7096 is software based, more features will come in the future. In March we plan an upgrade and Mac support to be added and upgrades will be free downloads online.

The overflow has "thinner" panels but I do not think that there is enough room to place the magnet without it getting wet. I currently have a 6045 that barely hangs on the tanks 1" acrylic.

Both sides of the magnet holder are waterproof. The 6045 and 6055 use the same holder.
