7095 controller question

Is the 7095 able to create a wave if controlling two 6101 pumps? If so, can it be adjusted to become calmer during the evening hours?

The 7095 will calm the pumps when the lights are off using the optical sensor. As for a wave I do not think it would be possible... what are your expectations and will this be on your tank listed in your sig?.... I think a wavebox is likely more what you may want to look at.

Well, maybe you can help me figure out which is more beneficial. I have seen the waves that are being produced from some of the new controllers and it looks like it would be great for the overall health of the aquarium.

I have also heard about a "gyre"(hope I spelled that right).

I really have no preference as to which type of flow I have. I am just looking for what will give the most benefit for the life in the tank.

Any help or advice is appreciated

I think wave action like the gentle rocking created by the wavebox for instance is excellent for a tank but is better suited as supplemental flow. If someone was to ask me what to get for their tank with the dimensions listed in your sig I would go with 4 6101s on a multicontroller 7095. I think you and your tanks inhabitants would be quite happy
