7096 Issues

I updated my windows from 8 to 10 and I can't get my unit to talk to my computer, keeps showing "no unit found"? It worked this morning but has since quit. States that access to COM3 is denied? I updated my Windows a month ago and the unit has worked for the last 2 days fine (just received it Monday the 18th brand new).

I will see what I can find out, I still use Windows 7 so I am quite behind and I am only marginally competent with Windows to be honest. I know with 8 their was a "compatability mode" for older programs that generally solved these issues.

I updated the driver and still no comm's. If this is not compatable then what, send it back to where I got it from?

I know it can work because it was tested at the factory and confirmed to work on Win 10, I just don't personally know how to get it to work. I think I would try assigning the 7096 to another com port. If the 7096 has any lights on it, it is working and the issue has to be the com port settings or some conflict.

I tried different com port settings and nothing. The unit has no lights, pumps don't run. I am sending it back and getting the 7095.

If the controller has no lights, either the controller or USB cable is the issue. Most likely an update to the controller firmware was disrupted so it has no valid firmware. There is a method to reset this if you wanted to try it.
