Today when I got bored at work I decided to look for a 70w MH ballast instead of trying to find one on ebay that I had to bid on. I came across a site that had them for fairly cheap but I'm not sure if they'll work for what I want to do with it.
I'm wanting to setup a nano tank with a 70w 14K HQI metal halide and all of the ballasts for fish stuff have been near or over $100. I found a site that has them for under $30, www.ballastwise.com Can anyone tell me if the 70w ballast will work on an HQI bulb? Here is a picture of it. I know it doesn't show any wires but that's no problem if I have to add my own.
On the ballast it has
Input: 120v/65Hz
Max Current: 0.67A
Power Factor: 0.99
