Any of you that now own or have owned the 72 gal rr bow from oceanic or similar aga or anyone that can help. I am getting one to replace my non RR tank and have heard online stories about the mega flow overflow and 1" drain not being able to handle the full 600 gph claimed. Said it was very noisy and had micro bubbles with that much flow, they say only to expect about 400 gph if you want to be able to stand it. anyone had trouble with that themselves? I am asking because i plan on using a mak4 Y'd off. About 300 gph to the skimmer, rest on the return with about 12' head all together with height and 90's and such. Should i just use the drain pipe and the return hole for drains and come up and over the top with the return? Any help or suggestions from all you would be great, thanks.

I've owned a 72g bf and ran a 1200gph pump on it with about 8ft head. no problems.I own a 175g bf now with over 2700gals no problems.Hope that helps.seth

They have a 1" drain, so you can only get 600 max through that size pipe. I personally like manifolds so I would use both as drains.
