72x24x24 or 60x30x24?

These are good inputs. I am just bad at deciding if I want to spend large amounts of money. Last year I literally made myself sick when I was deciding to/not to buy a new Triumph Daytona 675. Its not that I cant afford the toys, I just dont like actually spending the money.

Anyways back to the tank. Anything but a used standard 180 is going be expensive. I can find some used custom tanks at about twice the cost of the 180's.

Is the depth worth twice the cost? I really need to track down some local guys that have wider tanks at see for myself.

Ok here's another twist to the decision. Have you looked at Greatlakesaquariums ?
From their website:
200 XWide 60"x30"x26" $884.95 standard split locline return. it is Special Order
shipping $300 Min. but it can be picked up in Michigan at their facility.

I have a 60x30x24. Its a great size tank but if you could do 72x30x24 that would be the best! Lots of space for everything.

Yes, the depth is worth the extra cost. 30" depth is awesome! You will not regret it. By the time you place a few 5-6" coral front to back you realize its not that big after all. If you get anything less you will be looking at your tank 5 months from now and say why didnt I just do the 30" wide tank.

Or go with a deeper tank (72x30x26) that way you have lots of space and you can still stick your arm in the tank if you ever need to.
