Second time through it myself. What really impresses me is the plumbing. It looks complicated as hell, pipes going everywhere, pumps everywhere, but it still looks damn good !! How long did it take to think about where you wanted the plumbing and how to set it up ??

To be honest, I never had any plan in regards to the plumbing other than to set all of my equipment into place and stare it down while drinking a beer or 3 and "visualizing" the finished project. :hmm2:

I knew how I needed to drill my tank for maximum performance and efficiency using a minimum of pumps (pumps => watts => heat), and then I just began cutting pipe and gluing the pieces all together. The object is to always try to maintain perfect "balance" within a system, but it was a physical impossibility with this setup, so I just worked based upon the principals of fluid dynamics as it best fit within the space that I had to work with... Any offset of balance was made up by the use of the extremely powerful Hammerheads, and then splitting the system into 2 individual loops to maintain a high rate of flow in each.

FWIW: I took me about a week to get the plumbing just how I wanted it, because I would do a section at a time and then stand back and contemplate how I was going to make the next section mate up it the previous, and then once it was all said and done, I had to be in a position where the ends would connect up to close the loop. :worried:

There are a couple of very minor things that I would have done differently, and I may well add a 3rd Hammerhead with an automated switching valve which would be controlled by the ProfiLux in the future, to offset this.

Yeah you lost me here :) looks good anyway !!!

I just added a battey backup / surge protector for the new ProfiLux this evening, even though I obviously have the Generac... My reasoning is to be able to safely bridge the gap should a power loss ensue, which in turn will alleviate any potential surges and spikes which I believe is what killed my Lighthouse Pro.

Yep, every time I glanced down and around... :D

This beast is so large that on a couple of occassions I actually forgot that my wife was on the back because she now has so much room that she isn't ever touching or bumping into me as before. :)

what is it with all the pictures of two lame bikes. You wouldnt catch me on either. A harley = bulky sloppy, slow, noisey like farts going down the road. The other wanna be a sport bile is something I started on when I was 12yrs old. Yamaha R-1 tricked out is what I ride, but you need big nuggets to ride it. 320hp, 130mph hwy wheelie's and Im 44.
Then on the week ends I play with this, 1200 rwhp 8 sec .

Before you attempt to *bash* my toys, please at least try to know what you're talking about. I've never owned or even shown a picture of a Harley (Kawasaki Nomad shown above), and my "wanna be sport bike" was never intended to be a full on crotch rocket since it's a sport v-twin, and it certainly hasn't been around since you were 12...

Being that I too am 44, I can very matter of factly tell you that the first bikes to even come close to this class, were the Kawasaki GPZ's and Honda Intercepters which didn't appear until I was in highschool, and they were inline 4's. Yamaha had a couple bikes, but the most powerful of them was the Seca Turbo in 82-83, of which I personally owned one. Their top performance bikes didn't appear until the mid-80's... Just sayin! :hmm4:

Let's compare aquariums, shall we..? ;)

No No No ,

The fastest back then was the Yamaha FZR 1000,AND Honda CBR which I had too. but back when yur saying the only class where these Kawasaki GPZ's and Honda Intercepters, no the Ninja 900 came out and smashed the bike world. You might know more about Harley's(Kawasaki Nomad same difference) becuase I would never own something so ridiculous or ugly.

My friend had the Seca and I smashed it like it was going in reverse

Your calling a bumbling load of baggage a beast, yea its a beast something I wouldnt be caught seen on. Yes lets compare My new build to yours Bill Gates. The only thing you have thats not on my own set is your lap tops hooked up to your controller. Not that big of a deal though, its easily done.

Ahhh, the FZR Genesis and CBR Hurricanes were both awesome machines, but neither one existed until 1987, and you would have been 23 rather than 12... Try again Lucky! ;)

If you had any level of comprehension ability, then you would have known that I was referring to size rather than power. While it does have the power of a tractor, it has no low-end torque or hp and is anything but a performance bike... Ridden for comfortable 500+ mile days! ;)

And just where would YOUR build thread be..? ;)

woopie, You could be comfortable in a car without looking like a complete geek.

I have better things to do than show off my fish tank like you, You have way too much time on your hands to type all that requires for a build thread. Sorry but Im at the track from thrusday -sunday night except for this weekend since where doing a new blower system and Meth injection.

Also as seen on my avaitor thats my beach villa in PR on the sand, so as you can see Im much to busy to show off my fish tank, its just a hobby for me not braging rights as its for yourself.

Interesting perspective, especially when it appears that all you're doing in your posts is posting about your own BRAGGING RIGHTS... Blah blah blah my bikes are faster, my car is faster, my home is nicer. :crazy1:

Now that you've just insulted every RC member that posts all about their tank builds! :eek2:
  1. So why is that you've even wasted the time to post to my thread if you've got so much work to do on your car..?
  2. Why is it that you felt the need to personally insult me and my wife's choice of motorcycles, along with every other Cruiser owner on the planet..?
  3. Why after 19 pages of civility and commraderie did you feel the need to suddenly show up and make a complete and total jackass out of yourself..?
  4. From the pics you've presented, you clearly have a beautiful car and home and I would never state otherwise, so why would you feel the need to do put down everything that I have done and worked so hard for..?
All that negativity is going to eat you alive one of these days, so I would suggest that you should go have a great day at the track, if that's what it takes to make you a better person. :o

Thanks Bill. My wife and I don't have any children, but we we do watch enough Discovery Channel to know that this is precisely why so many animals eat their young.......! :D
