730g In-Wall Display

When I read all of the negative comments I was thinking that this 44 year old was acting like a kid and so he was.

Tim you have done a great job on your tank, could you post some more FTS please?

The full tank shots are all going to appear the same, because the tank is so damn wide that I have to stand back so far... I'm planning to purchase a Fisheye lens for my Nikon as soon as $$$ permits, which should make a lot more things possible.

For those that ride and keep up with the thread just to see what's new in the stable, I have traded all of my otrher bikes in towards this new baby that I took delivery of yesterday... :D

Hell of a nice build! Simple (looking) from the front side, yet elegant.

(and you sir, have class for the way you handled the teenager)

Thank you. :)

I'm both anal and OCD when it comes to doing things, and clean lines are my obsession.

The front of the tank and wall had to blend in (yea, right) as best as it could with the rest of the the interior of our home so as not to look out opf place, which is why I chose a very subtle yet elegant trim with the Granite and then keeping the same wood molding that runs throughout. Rather than painting the molding white as with the rest of the house though, we opted for bone so it wouldn't be too bright and detract from the system itsef, yet still blended in and carried the total look as if it was planned at the time the house was built. I hate those ornate (wood corner and center blocks that so many people trim their systems out with. Personally, I feel they are gaudy and take away from what is the real beauty.

As young as the system is at only 2 months, it's already coloring up w/ Coraline all over the place which is much faster than I had actually expected.

Just yesterday afternoon as I was climbing on the new bike to head out and meet a fellow biker and reefkeeper for lunch, and doctor friend pulled in my driveway with a friend of his, wanting to show him my system. Word is getting out around our area and people are randomly showing up at the door wanting to see this... I figure if I begin charging admission, maybe I could fill it with corals faster! :D

holy huge reef tank there guy! im looking into recent bank robberies in your area...maybe i can get a reward...anyway that thing is bada$$! unlike that weirdo a page back if that was my tank i would be sending every person on here pm's of my tank photos! so brag away i say, keep up the good work. i skimmed over the posts and didnt see anything about corals? will you be adding some soon and if so maybe a list of some that we will be seeing sometime soon! great tank again!

Wow at first I didn't understand why this 40 something year old man was completely downing you on everything you have worked so hard for. I am 22 and I had that streak of my ish don't stink and my parents stuff is better than yours. Reef Obsession I'm am sorry that what your step son did happened on this thread, but sometimes kids will be kids as I know all too well;) TGgreene is a great reefer and looks like he is just as great of a father and husband so I am sure he totally understands. BTW Reef Obsession I know that you probably didn't want it out in the open since most adults that act like them don't show off let alone brag about their personal prized possessions, but that corvette is just freaking awesome. Is that a F-1 blower or a D1SC. Sorry TGgreene for de-railing your thread yet again but LS motors and prochargers tickle my fancy even more than big reef tanks! Maybe Reef Obsession could send me a PM with the info so we don't de-rail your awesome build thread anymore. :)

Edit: Now that I went back and looked at the pics of the vette again that is definitely a F1 just not sure whether its a F1R or F1C.

Thanks. :)

In regards to corals, it's a mixed reef system that will focus more on SPS. There are already quite a few corals in the system that are thriving at this point. All of the SPS frags have already laid down solid bases and are growing outward and upward.

You're the only person to ever notice or comment on the 5g jug. Nice catch! ;)

Nope, no kids for me... As I stated though, I fully understand why so many parents in the animal kingdom eat their young! :hmm2:

Ahh ok I thought you and your wife had kids, well I hope that if and when you decide to that you don't consume them within the first 24 hours!!!:celeb1::)

i had a 2 liter jug as a collection cup and i thought that was big! how long does it take to fill that up? that tank will be slick as you know what in a few years! could you post some picts of some of your coral? thanks in advance

The jug has never actually filled up, because the system is simply too new and too pure at this point...

With all of my lights being 20k, pics are nearly impossible.

The tank build is looking very good. I just finished my "huge" 65G build. :)

I have never been a cruiser rider, but that Victory is looking sexy.

The Victory XC is an amazing bike... So far I've put over 1800 miles on it since taking posession of it a month ago.

I am still rebuilding mine after the accident. It was mostly cosmetic damage and I am just missing one final piece to mount the left fairing.
