hi i wanted to upgrade from a nana so i picked up a 75gal. i was also wondering if a 4 bulb T5 would be sufficient lighting for sps? also for flow i have 1 powerhead rated at 750gph, another at 600, and a returnpump thats 500gph. would that be ok?

Sps such as montipora should do fine higher up in the tank along with other less light demanding types. There won't be much selection though.

I'd go with a six bulb set-up. You will have better bulb combo's with the additional lamps, plus you will be able to keep pretty much anything as long as you are using good individual reflectors. 4 might be ok for SPS if you overdrive them. I have four (uvl 12K, b+, b+, aquablue) over my 75 on an icecap 660 with two vho super actinic and the combo is awesome and very bright.

if you add a vortec the flow would be perfect. I've got an mp40 in addition to an ehiem 1262 return pump and the flow is amazing.

I also use an ehiem 1262 on my 75 , but Ive used mag drive 7's in the past. two maxi jets with the propeller up grades and sps corals will thrive
