75 gal stocking

So...I have the opportunity to upgrade my 55 to a 75 and am looking for some stocking suggestions for a Pacific LPS reef.

Current tenants are...
Lawnmower Blenny 3.5in
Flame Angel 2.5in
Two Blue/Green Chromis 1/2 in each

Any suggestions would be much appreciated...I am leaning towards a Tang and/or reef safe Trigger but am up for anything.

A yellow, kole or scopas tang would work in a tank that size. The flame angel is a 50/50 risk with whether or not it'll nip at corals. You could introduce a small school of anthias or fairy wrasses - lots of motion and color. Six-line wrasses are reef safe, but can become terrors once established.

The Flame has been a model citizen so far, seems uninterested in the coral and spends most of his time following the Blenny around. I like the idea of Anthias but hate the idea of 3+ daily feedings. A shoal of wrasses would be great but the tank will have an open top so that could be an issue...thanks for the input, anyone else?

Anthias need a whole lot of swimming room so I would no suggest putting them into a 75 gallon. As for tangs, the yellow is always a good easy tang to go with. I also think that a blue hippo or regal tang would be good for a setup like this. If you are thinking about adding 2 or more tangs however, keep in mind that you cant keep two with similar body types together

my LFS is getting some blue throat triggers in next week and if they look nice and healthy I might bring one home to meet the family...anyone with blue throats in a reef chime in here please

Get a tomini tang. They seem to be the crazed nowadays. Tangs in general aren't super easy to keep since they are ick magnets. But they are beautiful as heck. Just make sure you QT¡@them.

I would really like to get a convict/kole/yellow tang and a blue throat but that might be to much in the long run for the 75.

oh yeah i forgot no offense, but i wouldnt try the convict in a 75 either the kole or yellow would be the only two i would put in there. just my opionion

Zenicanthus... I think that's the genus of tang folks say can exist in 4 feet of swimming room. Other genuses (those including the "powders," the hippos, etc), are generally said to need 6.

This is largely anecdotal but also strictly adhered to by most of the "legends" in the hobby.
