I guess now is the time to start my build thread. Garsh Ive always wanted to do one of these lol.
So this is what im working with.....
Standard 75 Gallon
30 Gallon sump
3 chambers...skimmer, fuge, return
MP40w
Mag 7
Octopus Skimmer....not sure of the model but i think its rated for 100 or 125
48" Sunpod 2x250 with moonlights (eventually im gonna go with a 6x54 T-5 but i got a super deal on this fixture so its gonna have to do for now)
Current Problems
What am I going to do with my livestock right now???
Fish and notable inverts in Half Cylinder: Orange Anthias, Spotted Mandarin, False Perc, Maroon Clown, Shrimp Goby paired with Pistol Shrimp, Baby Blue Tang
Fish and notable inverts in Aquapod: RBTA(only in here bc there was no room in display and he was stinging everything), Powder Blue(dont kill me tang police lol....available for a smoking deal so i picked him up and threw him in there for the time being).
The last time I moved stuff to a new tank, I lost a couple fish due to stress, how should I approach this situation?
Coral are encrusted onto rock, which is an elaborate structure constructed from tonga branches...looks like a tree. Its not gonna fit in the aquapod without the RBTA stinging the SPS.
Should i try to move all the livestock into the aquapod?(current display is sitting where i want to put the new tank)
I want to have the chemistry of the new tank to be as close to the chemistry of the old as possible
Should I take some rock and water from the old tank and put it in buckets to store?
Whats the best way to do this without stressing out the livestock?
