75 gallon stocking list

I am trying to decide between a 90 gallon or 75. I was wondeing how many fish I can have in a 75 gallon. Here is what I was thinking:
1 yellow eyed ke tang
1 copper banded butterfly
2-3 chromises
1 Picasso clown
1 tailspot blenny
1 flame angle/coral beauty angle

i think it is a good stock, but i would probably pair up the clowns. i have one in my tank and it doesnt act like other clowns i see. you should also go with the 90 if it isnt significantly more expensive. more volume is always better. And understand that the angel isnt reef safe and the butterfly is very tricky to keep

What makes the butterfly so tricky? And could I throw in there a pink spotted sand sifting goby?

Copper bands are often very difficult to ween onto prepared foods. Most people have to feed them live blackworms to get them to transition to prepared foods. Blackworms are hard to find, a pain in the @$$ to keep, and smell awful. This usually leads to the copper band starving in captivity.

You could do both the flame angel and coral beauty. Especially if you introduced them at the same time.

I kept a Potter's and a flame together. I didn't introduce them at the same time and it took some creative thinking to get the potter's not to attack the flame. But after that everything was fine.

Is it worth the rik to keep an angle with zoas and cams?
i wouldn't. most people say that zoas are one of the first corals thier angels go for. In one of the TOTM tanks, a guy had a clam kill his emperor angel, just some food for thought

I love tangs I have a few in my tank theirs some really colorful beautiful tangs I would check out some of those if I was you

Your dwarf angels are going to go after your softies first (mushrooms, xenia, leathers), then your more soft LPS corals. Going after Zoa's....possible but not as likely. Clam mantles are definetly on the menu however. If you have a clam then you can't have an angel.

My suggestion: Kole tang................check
Copper band B'Fly.....not check
2-3 chromis.............do three (they like odd numbers)
Picasso clown..........I agree with earlier, pair em up
Tailspot Blenny........You won't see him much but he's fine
Angel + Clam = disaster

Some of my favorites: Royal Gramma, Diamond Goby, Flasher/fairy wrasse, and Bangai Cardinal

There are risks an everything we do in this hobby.

If your fish are well feed, it reduces your chances. I had no problems with my xenia or my zoa's and 2 dwarf's.

If you go with the wrasses you might need to cover your tank, wrasses are known to jump. So there are risks and counter measures with most fish.

How would i pair up the clowns? It wa originally paired up and then the store separated them and I got the last one:( but I have read that they won't pay any attention to eachother and that they will fight. What do you suggest? And I love the diamond goby I just don't want mounds of sand in my tank and then have other places with no sand at all....and I also don't wnt my corals covered in sand either...

I added a Coral Beauty and lost every zoa colony I had. I should have had my head examined.

She was a great fish though... I lost her when one of my heaters went haywire.

If you buy a young clown, the two will fight a little to establish dominance. The one who wins will turn female over time.

Whatever you do, don't buy a clown that is older. They both could be female and the end result of that would be one or two dead fish.

The guys in the clownfish section can give you more extensive advice.

I don't really want to risk my corals:/ I wish I could but I talked to the guy at the store and he said he has tried pairing up clowns in his tank and they haven't even noticed eachother and it's been 3 years but I will for sure try! Thanks for the info! And without the butterfly and the angle how many other fish am I able to hav?

Wrasses, there are to many to list for possibilities, but they are cool little fish that can be very colorful and pretty active in the tank.
