75 gallon Tank Remodel

I recently remodeled my 75g tank. So I thought I'd share.

We moved the tank June 9th. It was quite the experience. I don't think I'll ever move a tank like that again. In the future, I'll only move things from one tank to another.

But it worked out...and we got everything moved without any real disaster or loss of life.

The new fish room is soooo nice. It makes things so much easier to manage.

Highlights on the new setup include 32 gallons of top off water(should last 3 weeks), compared to 12gallons before. There's a new larger fuge, dedicated electrical circuit, and room for maintenance and water changes (horay). I sleep a lot better at night knowing the tank is in the basement and it has a dedicated circuit.

I've got a few other things I want to do including a closed loop (calfo style) and a work bench I need to bring down to do work on. But it's pretty much all done at this point. I hope everyone enjoys the pics.

There's a pair of o. clowns, a pair of green/blue chromis, yellow tang, mandarin, yellow watchman goby and a firefish. There's a BTA that the clowns host in, and various zoos. I've got a couple of LPS but the majority of corals is now headed towards sps. So i'm growing 3 montiporas, 1 staghorn and a hydnophora right now. There's a coupel of clams (deresa and crocea) and misc. inverts.

I removed a lot of the live rock when I moved the tank becasue I felt it took up too much room. With less rock, the tang has more room to swim.

I LOOOOOVE IT!!! Not even kidding either. It's easy to adjust, and keeps my alk/CA pin pointed all the time. It was difficult to set up though. But now I could set it up quickly with no problem.

I highly recommend the GEO. It should be the last reactor I buy for a long time. When I upgrade tanks, it will be able to keep up without a problem. Right now, it's set at a fairly low setting and is doing great. There's lots of room for me to crank it up once my calcium load grows.

I actually documented the changes I saw when I added the Geo CA-x. There's pictures showing the growth rate change. Just look at the 6th page of this post. People aren't kidding when they say they see a huge difference when they add a CAX.
