So my dad is about done finishing my room in the basement and he is building my current 75 into the wall. It is going to sit on the crawl space. Before when I had the tank in my room it was plumbed with flexible plumbing which was a pain. I want to do hard plumbing so that i can but ball valves on the return and drain to make maintanence easier, but i have no idea what to use to glue the pvc. Do you use regular pvc glue or is there a different kind i need?

Yup, use regular pvc glue and pvc primer before you apply the glue. They both come in small bottles at any hardware store.

Apply the primer to both the male and female ends to clean the pvc. Apply a thin layer of glue to both the male and female ends of the pvc. Push the pieces together as far as they will go and give them a quarter turn to make sure the glue is evenly spaced throughout the joint. Let is sit for a few hours (overnight would be better) before running any water through the pipes.

It's a good idea to dry-assemble the pipes and fittings before you glue anything so you can get all of the angles right if necessary. Mark each joint with a permanent marker so that you can align them the right way when it's time to glue.
