:D

Thank you SO much for your words!! its so encouraging reading you :)

good for you marie. your patience has paid off wonderfully.....and there isn't even fish in it yet.

:)

Great looking! Can't wait to see the tank filled and cleared up!

Great work

yes patience always paid off in this hobby, right now the tank as clear a little since we put some rocks in it, but we will add live rock next week

but I really can't wait to put some fishes!! or even some hermit crabs!!! anything hahaha

it looks big enough to swim in, that would be fun to swim in there setting up the rocks.

Tagging along, I love to see a well done DIY project. And I think gimp is right, you're going to need snorkling gear to do the aquascaping. :D

Phil

Incredible build! Precision at it's best. Along for the ride.

Thank you :)

well I did go in the tank to spread out the sand in the tank, and I may have to go back in there for the aquascape lol

let me tel you it's FUN... I mean... I'm swimming in my tank!!! (but don't worry I won't do that a lot... it's not good for the water/fishes)

now on the update :)

like a told you, the tank is now full of water, and the sump is starting to fill
the plumbing is not completly finish, but the tank/sump is ready to work

I put about 150 lbs of liverock in the tank, I amuse myself by doing a little aquascape but it won't stay that way, we are waiting for more live rock next week

here's some picture :)

I don't dare ask how much a tank like this must cost to build and setup but have you done any estimations on how much this tank will cost to run, including electricity, salt, additives, chemicals, etc... That's the main factor that keeps me with a small to medium tank. I can afford to spend a lot on a tank and equipment, but I'm a contractor. In this economy, I don't want to be stuck with a $250-500 a month, maintenance cost. The last thing I want to do is have to dump my tank because I can't afford the monthly maintenance cost.

Beautiful tank. I see there are lights already over the tank...any chance we can get a pic with the lights on?:D

About all i can say i wow. I really love the part where YOU HAVE TO GET IN to place the sand. Your going to need a snorkel just to clean the glass. Coming in late but im signing on to follow this one. Good luck

wooooooowwwww:eek1: started reading this thread and kept on going to the last page..Awesome build. Cant wait for it to be filled up with corals...

Incredible, there's nothing in it other than some rock and it's already one of my favourite tanks ever! I can't wait to see this progress over the next few weeks :D

That is so amazing, I am sitting here looking at your pictures with my girlfriend, and shes going, omg! when we get older we need a tank like that!

So thank you so much, she is now finally getting into fishtanks, but now with your tank, shes in love! Victory! last week she wanted to get her own 75g to work on! haha!
