750g show tank (L shape)

you dont want both reactors going at once. it takes 1-2 weeks for the phyto
to be ready. so you run one for about 10 days, then start the other one. it keeps everything fresh. Otherwise you would have to harvest both at once and keep them in the refrigerator.

Im guessing thats why they did it too, but she can chime in to confirm.

cant wait to see u put the live stock~~~~~~~~~~~~nice tank~~~~~~~~~~~~

thank you!! I wish to be able to add some clean up crew in 1-2 weeks :) and after that... FISHES!!!!

Been hooked on your thread from the beginning. Your doing such a sweet job . It takes guts to build the tank yourself. If the electrical bill gets to high maybe you can put up solar panels to run it.:D

to be honest... we already though about solar panels... but these thing are EXPENSIVE!!! so for now I think we will have to pay the bill hihihi

You should put on full SCUBA gear and go in there... wont oil from the body mess up the water? I usually wash my hands a lot before I put them in there...

I wont have to go in there... well I shouldn't have too
but for sure when fishes and corals will be in the tank if I have to go in it, I will put my wetsuit

AMAZING build! I had built my 800 gal before we sold the house and know what went into that, and it was not nearly a pretty and in depth as this. I am utterly impressed, you two have done a phenomenal job.

Just read this thread for the first time...

amazing and congratulations on your reef tank...

thank you both :)
it's so nice to see so many people following this tread :artist:

The attention to detail on this build is incredible. It has been my favorite build thread on this site, by far. I doubt I will ever have such a large tank, but even when I do my custom build for my 65, I will try to have everything as well thought out as you guys are doing. This should be a lesson in how to layout a system.

Subscribed.

thank you!
you're right, you don't need to have a big tank to make everything perfect!
I'm sure your 65 gallons will be awesome!

They should win best plumbing job ever!

:eek:kudos on the plumbing! I cant wait to see this tank in a year or two! subscribed

Can you have a tank of the month with no real fish or corals in it????

if this build keeps up, it will be right there with the best of them.

hahaha
that would be an other dream come true... seeing our tank : The Tank of the month wow!!!!
they're so many awesome tank that have win this title... it would be such an honor!

Sorry for going back on you.... I know the phytoplankton reactor is the green one, what will you be growing in the second one? Assuming the phytoplankton will be the food for that, how do you get the phytoplankton into the second reactor? Is it automated somehow? Sorry for asking basic questions, just trying to learn....

Thanks for taking the time to chronicle your build.

well it's been a long time since I did an update
we are still waiting our ballast, but the supplier told us that tuesday he would have them

tuesday we go to an other supplier to, to take an other 250 pounds of big pieces of liverock ;)

but for now, the power bar for the light are install (in the roof) so no power cord will be seen

and an other BIG expense :(
a dehumidifier industrial lennox... expensive but it's work!! in one hour we pass from 80% of humidity to 60%

here's a picture (the dehumidifier won't stay there, we were just in a hurry to start it)

:)

Wow!!! I am extremely impressed and jealous of your new tank! Thanks for sharing all the great pics and info on the build.

an other update today :)

we will have 2 x 4 doser pumps for the balling system and other additives to put in the tank

:bounce3:

I like how the block adds your additives go streight in the drain. they should be well mixed by the time they hit the tank.

I dont even think someone with OCD would find somthing done half "butted" with your tank!!!! Tank looks amazing, keep up the great work. Cant wait to get the animals in there.
