75g Advice Please

Hey Roger, I was referred to here from the Discussion forum.
I am setting up a new 75g in between the living room and dining room,

the way I have the tank planned out, I will need two pumps

Here is my dilemma, I do not know whether to purchase two tunze's 6060, or two seio 1100.

here is an illustration to get an idea.

with the two Tunze's, it will be ~46x the turn over rate, with two seio 1100, it will be ~33x the turn over rate

will the 6060's create a sand storm at the other end of the tank? and if running both at the same time is to much, will i be able to have them on a timer, for one on 6 hours, then to switch to the other for 6 hrs?

also, will the 6060's be overkill for the fish i am going to add? i am going to be having fish in there before i get the funds for the light and skimmer, then i will be on my way to SPS

Am i going to be having way to much flow with the 2 tunze's, and am beter off with two seios?

Thanks in advance Roger

The two flows are not reallz comparable, a Seio flow is hollow and like a pipe, nothing in the middle. The Stream makes a cylinder and the gph don't tell the whole story. Ideally you would get 1 6000 and single controller and have a good return flow on the other end so you have control.

Roger, that is one very, very good idea, i will have to think about that and how i will do it,

THanks !!

so the two seio 6060's would be a waste?

I think you will be happiest with the 6000, with 2 6060 it won,t be so bad, you could use a timer to get some wave current and alternate at hour intervals which is running but the 6000 will do the job.
