Well I have I have been having a low PH problem. I have actually been thinking about the best way to combat it.

My PH goes from 7.8-7.9 Sometimes 8.0

After my basement windows are open for a few hours it goes up to 8.2.

I was thinking since I have old single pane glass windows in the basement that I would replace 2 of them with plexi and some how run 2 small fans. 1 for taking in air and one for pushing it out.

Here are my concerns from another post thread I started.

I have a 75 Gal tank in my basement. I run a kalk reactor and Calcium reactor. My Ph is always low between 7.8-7.9

I have tried opening up 2 windows to give it a nice cross ventilation.

A few hours later My PH goes up to 8.0-8.1 this is great.

So I know my problem has to do with lack of fresh air in my basement.

I have been reading for a few years now:)

I have read about people using 2 small fans for there windows. Small bathroom fans. or low CFM units.

One would be pulling and would be pushing air.

But a potential problem is negative pressure that will I guess mess with the Waterburner? Water heater Or whatever :)

This intern will create CO2 which is dangerous.

I have read that in some case this is a problem I guess with older water heaters? Boilers? I don't know.

How can I find out if it would be a problem in my case?

I have my home close almost year around my ph fluctuates from 7.8 to 8.1 all the time .
Yes with the windows open the Ph is up to 8.2 to 8.3.
I saw no negative effects with the windows close or open for ten years now.
You know i don't own a PH meter any longer.:p

Very nice, so far. I hope it meets your expectations. Looks like you have plenty of room for the skimmer to stand in the sump above the water level.

If you use Windows XP, you can go to Microsoft's website to download a Power Tool called Image Resizer. Once installed, you can right click over an image to resize it to any of the preset sizes, or to a custom size of your choice. You can also resize a folder full of images at once. Due to the traffic my site encounters, I have my images at 640 x 480 almost always. It helps control the bandwidth a tad.

Thanks Marc!!!

Last week I recieved my Sample of Polyp Lab Reef-Roids. My corals seem to love it.

How often should I feed my Fish? Oh yeah My wrasse has been missing for many weeks now:( But when I went to the frag swap in Manhattan there was a auction that I won another Wrasse. I forget the name of it:(

I ordered a Bottle of TMCC, YES Jay I have a bottle coming so give me a call:) I bought it at Fragfarmers. I really would like conformation that this stuff kills red Bugs.

I have heard good reports from other reefers that also recieved their reef-roids. I want to try my sample out too but I'm going to wait until my acros are done with their treatment to get a good idea of how they are really reacting to the product. I was surprised at how small the free sample was.

Anyone have the URL to the site that has the drop down windows so you can mix and match ballasts, bulbs SE and DE. I lost everything 2 weeks ago from a comp crash.

Found it:)

Ok guys tommorow is the final stretch of the plumbing. I really need to know different ways of modding my drain so I don't hear gurgling.

Jay came over and put a piece of airline down the pipe and it worked. But I want to do the airvalve thing that everyone does. The last time I tried it I kept drilling holes until the gurgling would stop but never did.

Also at one point it made it harder for the drain to drain quick enough so my tank actually almost overflowed.

I need a external version?

I guess that might not evern work. Guys I need ideas for the big day..Please:)

Last time I capped the T and kept drilling holes from small to large.

Ok guys I think something is wrong. I figured maybe sincemy drain section of the sump is high? Or does this look normal?

Whats throwing me off is the probe holders are high this makes me think The return side is messed up.

Need help guys
