Looks fine to me. The water level on the right side of the sump is always going to be that high due to the baffles. You should fill the left hand side of the sump up until it is at the top of the last baffle and you are good to go.:)

First thing i will do take that pipe form the inside the sump the one you cut on the angle , you will be better of with a 90 to go deeper in the sump so you get no bubbles in your tank from the return pump.
I'm sure you will fix the skimmer outflow so will be very close to the water level .
Also like elephen and Travis said you need to add more water in the sump.
The sump looks very nice.
Are you going to install a automatic top of system?

Hey Guys!!!! Thanks for the quick response. I have alot of odds and ends to do.

The Iwaki is incredibly strong. I am using the bypass. I made a small adjustment before I had company come over. Well......My basement had a minor flood:(

I will take some more photos now:)

Stay tuned

Sean really did everything:) I thank him for that more then ever.

We didn't tie in the frag tank for lack of time. I have no frags and no lights anyway. The sump was the major upgrade.

Which baffle do I fill it up to? I will take a picture Travis.

Zoom I already changed that angle cun and put a 45 on it. It was vortexing. You guys are great.

Get the cords of the floor and hang them up.:D
You are cheting :eek2: only show as the unfinished sump before .:p

Zoom I promise to fix the mess.

Ok look at this

The green line is the present water level. So the Red line is the level it should be? So I shouldn't have the cool waterfall?:)

I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without him!!!

Thanks Sean!!!

I will go in between the two lines.

Zoom I promise to fix the mess.
It is not the mess i'm worrying about.;)
And one more thing what you doing with a small tank like that with Allllll............................ that room:lol:

This is my temporary tank until I get my 120gal on the 1st floor of my house.

As it is this 75 gal tank is all I can handle atm. I have a 10 month old son and go to night school.

Ok the middle of both the lines?

I would do it right up to the red line. That is where I run my sump water level. Gives you more room for error should your top-off fail... it will take longer until your return starts sucking air. Raising the water level as high as possible also allows you to make your systme water volume as high as possible. More water = more stability.

just my $.02

I would have the water in the return section 1" below the final baffle. So raise it up a few inches, but not completely even with the final baffle.

Your sump has a second bubble tower. You shoud fill it up with LR rubble, and then have your skimmer drain into that, to further stop microbubbles early on.

Zoom It will be a standard 120gal size but with 3 sides starphire,Eurobraced, external overflow. This tank now is basically a nice grow out tank:)

Travis, I never knew how strong a true pressure rated pump was. I finally upgraded from my old Mag 7. You also told me ages ago to upgrade that Mag. I'm happy as heck about all the room I have. Also all the extra water volume.

Marc, All I can say is not only is the sump beutiful but works incredible. The coolest thing is the hang on PH holder &Effluent line box holder. They fit like a glove. The blue film I left on the bottom. It worked out great now I can see where the detritus settles. I still havent found the final baffle I will use for the Skimmer.

Guys I can't change the water level yet:( I ran out of SW so I have to make a new batch. Even if it's a few gallons should I still age it for a day? Or would it be ok to just add it?

I have heard a few people say that TMCC works on Red Bugs can anyone confirm this?

I usually Treat all my Frags with FW Exit and Interceptor. But if TMCC does both?

I have TMPCC and redbugs, but wont be able to confirm one way or another for a few more days yet.
Waiting on QT supplies to arrive.

So how am I supposed to use TMPCC and interceptor? How can any acro handle this?

15 minutes of TMPCC and 6 hours of Interceptor?

Interceptor doesnt affect the corals at all.

I would place the corals in the TMPCC dip, and let them sit a day, then run Interceptor.

Well guys I am really looking hard at the PFO hood that holds 2 250watt SE bulbs and 2 VHOs. My hood stinks. I really wanted to get a DE setup but I'm on the fence with the DE-SE debate.

My intentions were to get 2 ROIII with the phoneix bulbs but now I'm leaning towards SE.

I want to try the SE Aquaconnect bulbs. MD sells the whole unit with the Icecap ballast. I really prefer the Reeffanatic since it does give a little bit more par. But is the minimal Par compared to Icecap really that big of a deal?

SE-Aquaconnect on a Icecap PPFD 83
SE-Aquaconnect on a Reeffanatic PPFD 96

Should I stress it? I really hate to order a whole unit from MD and without the ballast then order the reeffantics from an other site then wire them up.

Add to this the fact that T5 lighting is growing on me:)

add to this the fact that my 120gal is growing more distant. Since we are expecting another baby:) The time for a 120gal won't be there.

So basically I plan on having a 75 for awhile:)

I would go with the Mogul based bulbs and get the icecap unit.

Main reasons for saying that are accessability of replacements/availability of service.

I dont know anything about Reef Fanatic in terms of customer service, as I've never bought anything of theirs or from them.

I do know, MD is great and the few times I've had to get something returned or fixed after purchasing it from them, there were no questions asked, they just overnighted me a new one.

Finding bulbs for SE reflectors is much easier IMO than DE's.

BTW,

Congrats on the new baby!
