75g Barebottom w/SPS & LPS, which Tunze?

Setting this tank up and want to make sure I have proper flow for coral's and especially for preventing detiritus from settling.

Thinking of going with one 6060 on one end of the tank and one than one 3/4" Sea Swirl in middle hooked up to my sump return (MAG950). Would this be enough?

That could work. Consider a better return. Mags are decent pumps, safe, fairly powerful but the face plate leaves a bit to be desired, they run hot too. Eheim 1262 is the best built but actually runs even hotter. Sen 900 is good pump. Ideally use an external pump like a GRI or Iwaki. Oceanic has nice predrilled sump kits available.

hmmm...."could work" doesn't sound all that positive. Any potential problems you see? The 6060 is big enough for a 75g reef tank ins't it? Would the one Sea swirl be enough?

All I know is when going Barebottom the experts say you need plenty of flow to keep the detritus in suspension and these Tunze's seem like a great all in one flow setup, replacing a bunch of powerheads. Also I wouldn't need to have tank drilled again for a closed loop setup either. Kinda like set it and forget it plug n play style which I love :D

As far as a return pump, maybe when this one dies but right now my budget is extremely tight!

this is going to be my first reef setup and I started with a budget MUCH LESS than I am at now. I wanted to do things right and the more I rersearch the more I find out there is no cheap way to accomplish that.

Well, I would always prefer the 6000 over the 6060. Because you will have a SeaSwirl I say the 6060 is OK because it will add a factor of randomness. It will keep the detritus in suspension quite well, I think that isn't an issue. It is more an issue of randomness to the current. I also like the electronic pumps because they tell you when there is a problem with the pump by sounding an alarm and I find it very useful.
