also, is the tank tempered? either way i "might" get the tank to depending on if i can find space. :P

i currently have a 55, 30, 10, 60, 45, and a 75 gal in my APPARTMENT. :P and that AFTER getting rid of 2 tanks... heh.. im a little addicted..

TTT

someone buy the tank so i can have the screen top :P i'll pay for just the top off of someone if they buy the tank.

i was thinking about buying the tank but im afraid since it has neither a brace on top or a brace on the bottom that it would brake when i put water in it, i am using it as a sump. i would def give the screen top to you.

i doubt it would break. it might bow just a tad if that but since you would use it as a sump you wont have it full of water. if it does bow i wouldnt worry about it breaking but i could be wrong. you can add a brace to it if you are worried about it. just silicone some glass on it.

wait, i guess the baffles in the sump will act as a brace sort of, if not then a brace from HD will work, doesnt need to be fancy. sounds good to me, ill pm you.

But only if the baffles are glass and siliconed in. If you use acrylic, the silicone will not hold. They do make tanks that are reptile tanks only.

The weldon will not adhere to the glass and the silicone will not adhere to the acrylic.

The best way would be to have a couple of pieces of glass cut and silicone it on. It would be strong.

Weldon bonds acrylics and other plastics together. you can spill it on glass or metal all day long and it would never be more than an inconvenience. But acrylic to acrylic, that stuff is insane. It basically just melts the plastic, melting two plastic pieces together.

Silicone might hold the acrylic to the glass, but not with enough strength to hold a tank together.

If you want the tank, and it's got thick enough glass to be an aquarium tank, then you would be fine using perfectly cut glass baffles as Treeman suggested, and aquarium silicone.

I was wondering why that tank looked funny to me... It didn't have a brace..

Hey just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this tank, Im actually selling It for a buddy of mine In that said I have never seen It up close and i just found that after posting a couple of days ago that there Is small cut out hole the exact size of a quarter on the bottom of the tank. I guess whomever had It befor him was planning something, the hole Is covered and silicon down with a peice of glass. So In that said sorry for the update, If you look real close you can kinda of see somthing on the bottom and In the middle of the tank and that Is the hole thats cut out.
