75g Keys Build

Nice, those pumps are supposed to be excellent:). The tank looks very nice(I like that overflow). Lots of scrubbing to do on that filter for sure, but will be great when done:). Keep it up mate:beer:

Yea that's what I've been told! :) yea I'm happy with a corner overflow!

Yep... Lots of vinegar haha

Your 42 is looking good btw! 👍

How much did you pay for the setup if you don't mind me asking? Ah the aquarists best friend:).

It is coming along nicely, apart from the Acro loses:( but it is a new tank and things will get better:D

I paid $0 for this set up lol..

It was a friend of a friend. He said to take everything though, don't just cherry pick... So I took everything and cleaned it out.

All I really need to pay for is new bulbs, fix canopy and stand. And maybe a couple small things here and there. This set up brand new can easily be about $750-$1000. So i'm pretty happy with it lol

Yea I saw that, it will see better days though!

No way!!! I would have snapped that up instantly. This is certainly a cheap build:thumbsup:

Wow, why can't I ever find deals like that lol

Lol I almost couldn't believe it. I have good friends though, but since my friend has two kids now he couldn't take it lol..
He was dying for it though.

I went the morning after at 5:30am to go pick it up.. Still got late to work because of massive traffic though. So glad to have an awesome boss who is understanding with my tanks haha :D

Awesome deal you got there! I wish I could have come across this one as well lol. can't wait to see it up and running

Thanks, yea it's a perfect size as well. Exactly what I needed, my Fiance thinks otherwise, but she's being supportive right now :twitch:

Considering to let her pick whatever fish to get her more involved and excited about it... Anyone ever have success with that? Any tips? lol
:fish1::fish1:
And I would pick the corals. :D

its really hard on that part lol. I speak from experience, most things my wife picked at first was either not reef safe or too big for my 55 lol. at first she didn't understand my hobby but after time she developed a soft spot for the tank and she even has learned from what I have explained to her about almost anything. just be patient with her and explain, it makes things easier for her to understand. also make sure you don't overstock the tank and put fish that will easily out grow the tank. hope this helps.

No it helps plenty, thanks ! Right now I just talk about it with her and explain why I do things or why this or that fish is good or bad. Little by little I've noticed she is getting more interested into the conversation.

And of course, would probably give her the options on what we can put and go looking for it together. It's a lot more fun shopping in the stores rather than online.
Just want her to be able to enjoy it as well and I'm sure it will make my hobby a lot easier to do, especially the upgrades haha

I would say that letting her name the fish would be a good start. Also, find out what corals and fish she likes and then try and build a stocking plan around that:)

Found a leak at one of the Bulkheads so I'm going to replace both of them now. So once I get that installed I'll do another leak test and go from there.
