Your mangroves really look nice. How long have you had them? What lighting is over the ones in the pic with the skimmer?

Is there 2 different species of mangrove in your skimmer area? It looks like the ones closest to the camera might be different from the reds.

I've had my mangroves for seven months now. The ones down in my sump are under a 23w CF spot light.

From what I've read the white mangroves like more soil and dryer roots mine are kept almost submerged in a large cup of refugium mud and seem to be liking it.

I have holes drilled around the sides and bottom of the cup to allow water to diffuse through the cup.

I'm using 250w Giesemann nova II pendants with the megachrome 12 k bulbs. (Old tank shot)
