75g, What 2 fish can I have in here?

I'm starting up a 75g and I have been tossing around a number of fish. I know I can't add very many, so if I were to only add 2 fish what 2 tangs could I add?

Also, could I add a majestic & a tang, if which one?

(side note - I will be upgrading the tank to a 150+ is the future, maybe 1 year or so)

Looking for advice here, no bashing, if you have opinion let me know, I have not purchased anything yet.

thanks
Shane

I am big on stocking your tank with fish that will work for that tank, not a tank that you plan to have in the future. Too many things can/will come up that will either delay or cancel the upgrade.

So, to answer your question, I wouldn't recommend any 2 tangs for tank. And for sure not a majestic and a tang.

And I am not just talking, I have made this mistake in the past -- and won't do it again. I was suppose to have a "big" tank a couple of years ago, still don't have it.

excellent points, however, the new tank is part of my study that is being drawn up as we speak. I'm having built in shelving & a built in tank put in, so its going to happen. Though it will probably be next year with the other items the wife wants first. In the mean time I have this 75g that I am putting together in my office. I want fish that get along, and will be ok if purchased small so they aren't over crowded or stressed in the next year.

cheveron, tomni, flame fin are all good tangs and on the smaller side. I would only try 2 tangs in a 75 if they are very different types/looking. no exp with angels but they do get big adn even a 150 is likely small for a lot of them if you plan on fully stocking that tank. there are a lot of smaller angels though I am sure there are many that would work

Are you wanting more than the two fish with these being the center peice or only two fish reason I ask is I have a 75 with currently 6 fish and I plan on adding a smaller tang as my centerpeice to finish it off. I think as long as you stay on the small side and if there the only fish in the tank you could pull off 2 as long as they are completely different. Now if your going to have other fish in the tank then just stick with 1. Hope this helps
