75gal build, Need advice

What a unique tank. Before I got down far enough to start seeing your pictures, I was imagining an prettied up refugium, but wow you did a great job. I had no idea there were so many different kinds of plants available out there. Keep up the good work.

lol thanks.

I released the larger banded pipe into the DT over the weekend. The smaller one is still in QT pending a white blotch on his tail. I dipped the tail in meth blue for 10sec and returned him to QT where I dosed 5ml melafix and 2-3 drops methblue in a effort to keep it from turning into a infection. My LFS does not open until tomorrow. I plan on picking up some maracin 2 and giving that a try. I also picked up a nice pair of fire shrimp today from deans place. He was all out of maracin 2. Pics alittle later when I am done making taco's and the shrimp come out from behind the rocks. I placed one on each archway hopping that they will make them their home. With any luck I will get them breeding. According to the 10seconds of research I did on them they are hemaphrodites. It would be cool if both had eggs at the same time. Thankfully I have room for two kreisels in the 10gal. Now that would be neat. Pretty lil things thats for sure.

The shrimp are probably waiting to come out of the rocks until after they're sure you're completely done making tacos. The red of those guys will look great amongst the plants. Looking forward to more pics.

It has legs that are not visible in the pics. One of the fire shrimp didnt make it through the night. The other one still hides behind the rockwork. Hopefully it will come out eventually otherwise it will be as worthless as my pom pom crab.

Obviously I still have some work and growing in before this tank looks nice but atleast its coming along. Heres a few pics

Sorry to hear about the shrimp. That was a fairly expensive little number I would guess.

How are the multi-bands doing?

Doing good. One is still in QT. Its tail doesnt look much better but atleast its not getting worse. QT gets a 25% water change today. Then another dose of furan-2. Hopefully my clam shell gets here tomorrow so i can start working on getting them feeding dish trained.

nice! I've got a 75 gallon setup thats pretty similar to yours, mine has a 2x54w T5 fixture. I've just got a lot of macroalgae, no seagrass (I tried it once earlier and it never really took hold. might try it again sometime in the future).

Looks like the Anthias worked out who was going to be the male. I noticed today that he has allready developed a nice long dorsal spike. He was flashing the female like crazy tonight.

Heres a couple pics I took.

I just picked up a pair of red and white banded pipefish. They had a pair of the yellow and dragonface as well. I had a hard time deciding if I should get the yellows or white and my wife convinced me to get the white. 4 of the yellow would of increased my chances of breeding but also aggression. Hopefully the white and yellows get along fine.

They just got done with thier FW dip and are in the QT they are checking out the cyclopeeze but not eating yet.

My reefcleaners order came in today..(live-plants has yet to ship)
I was alittle dissapointed with the calerpa's but I guess John made it up with a couple penny macro's.

The prolifera only had 2-3 blades to it same with the catus calerpa.

Here's a crap ton of pics!

Any idea what this macro could be? Its not a zoanthid I felt and broke it alittle. Its round and ridgid about the size of a small zoanthid though. I am hoping it spreads whatever it is thoug.
