snulma1 New member May 12, 2008 #2 I'd skip the sponge unless you are going to change that out often, maybe a little less often then your filter sock, but still often. Also, what are you going to be putting where that green blob is? Bioballs?

DevilBoy New member May 12, 2008 #4 if it was me i would put the skimmer before the fuge area. Most people put the skimmer in the same section that the tank drains into.

sk8rreefgeek New member May 12, 2008 #6 ya, you want the skimmer gettin as much as possible. with that config, you'd be gettin a bunch of crap stuck before the skimmer plus, you want the bubble trap after the skimmer
